Why travel with Apolo
You can certainly organise a trip to Naples independently, but the value of this experience lies in bringing together accommodation, guided visits, the Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius excursion, local cuisine and, above all, a group of people with whom to share the destination. Apolo coordinates the overall experience to make travelling easier and to give you a clear point of contact before and throughout the trip.
This trip brings together Naples, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius, local cuisine, culture and the city's Christmas atmosphere in one coordinated programme, while still leaving you time to enjoy the destination at your own pace. The aim is for you to focus on the experience without having to manage every booking, ticket and journey separately.
Accommodation, guides, transport, entrance tickets and activities are brought together in one itinerary. Final availability for each service is confirmed with your booking.
The trip is designed for LGBTQ+ travellers and companions who share a clear commitment to respect. You can join us as a couple, with friends or on your own.
Before departure, we will share simple guidelines covering identity, privacy, consent, schedules and rest so everyone understands what is expected during shared moments throughout the trip.
The Apolo trip coordinator centralises information, helps with group logistics and acts as your first point of contact if an issue arises involving the itinerary, the group or one of our suppliers.
Our approach to incidents
We do not normalise discriminatory comments, attitudes or behaviour. If something happens, our response will be adapted to the situation and its seriousness.
We cannot promise that unexpected situations will never arise. What we can promise is that we will listen, take them seriously and not ignore discriminatory behaviour.
Five days to discover Naples at Christmas, its cuisine and two of Campania's most iconic landmarks: Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.
We will arrive in Naples during the early afternoon
and check into our accommodation. You will have
free time to start discovering the atmosphere
of Naples' historic centre, stroll through its
shopping streets and immerse yourself in the city's
Christmas spirit.
One of the highlights will be
San Gregorio Armeno, famous for its
traditional workshops producing nativity scenes and
handcrafted figurines. At this time of year, the street
becomes one of the most distinctive and atmospheric
Christmas sights in Naples.
After breakfast, we will travel by
private coach to the Archaeological Park
of Pompeii. A guided visit will take us through
the streets, houses, temples, theatres and public spaces
of the Roman city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius
in AD 79.
It is one of those places where history stops feeling
abstract and becomes something you can experience on
a remarkably human scale.
In the afternoon, we will continue to
Vesuvius National Park. We will travel
by coach towards the visitor area and have time to enjoy
panoramic views over the Bay of Naples, the Sorrento
Peninsula and the surrounding islands.
Afterwards, we will return to Naples for the evening.
The morning will be dedicated to an
authentic Neapolitan pizza cooking class.
We will discover different types of flour, learn the
secrets behind a 24-hour direct-fermentation dough
and practise the traditional hand-shaping technique.
Then comes the best part: preparing and tasting our
pizza alongside several classics of Neapolitan street
food, including
crocché, frittatina, montanarina and zeppoline.
In the afternoon, an official guide will take us through
Naples to discover landmarks such as Piazza del Plebiscito,
the Royal Palace, Teatro di San Carlo, Galleria Umberto I,
Castel Nuovo and the historic centre.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy
Naples dressed for Christmas.
After breakfast, we will visit the
Galleria Borbonica, one of Naples'
most fascinating underground attractions.
Its tunnels, galleries, ancient cisterns and air-raid
shelters reveal different layers of the city's history,
from the Bourbon period to the Second World War.
The experience will also include a
raft ride through former underground
water cisterns.
After the visit, you will have free time to return to
Naples' Christmas markets and artisan workshops, do
some shopping or continue exploring the historic centre.
In the evening, we will enjoy a
traditional Neapolitan dinner with live
neomelodic music, a distinctly local way
to round off the day.
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check-out. Before our Naples Christmas trip comes to an end, there will be free time for some last-minute shopping, one final walk through the historic centre and a relaxed farewell to the city's Christmas atmosphere. End of the services included in the programme.
We have brought together accommodation, visits and essential experiences so you can enjoy Naples and its surroundings without having to organise every booking separately.
