Madrid Pride (MADO) is not only one of the largest celebrations on the planet, but a living symbol of Spain's social transformation. Its origins date back to the late 1970s, when the first demonstrations bravely and determinately marched through the capital's streets, demanding the decriminalization of homosexuality and visibility for a long-silenced community. What began as a grassroots activist march of a few hundred people in the Chueca neighborhood has consolidated over the decades into an unmissable global event and an absolute benchmark for civil liberties across the continent.
Today, the celebration masterfully combines an unparalleled festive atmosphere with a firm spirit of political and social advocacy. For an entire week, Madrid completely transforms to host artistic festivals, international human rights conferences, and cultural events that flood multiple open-air stages throughout the city. The ultimate highlight of this gathering is the great national demonstration, where millions of people from all corners of the world march together under the same banner, proving that diversity and inclusion are fundamental and non-negotiable values of our society.
Voted on multiple occasions as the best pride in Europe, the success of Madrid Pride lies in its inclusive and hospitable character, welcoming anyone regardless of their origin, identity, or orientation. From the historic hosting of EuroPride in 2007 to the global milestone of WorldPride in 2017, Spain's capital has demonstrated a unique capacity to merge cutting-edge tourism with grassroots activism. It is this perfect harmony between the defense of LGBTQ+ rights and the overflowing joy in its streets that makes Madrid Pride a deeply transformative and inspiring experience.
With Apolo, you will have the unique opportunity to experience Madrid Pride from the inside, enjoying exclusive access and meticulously designed privileges to feel the magic of the capital from a truly insider perspective.
At Apolo, we completely adapt to your needs when it comes to payments, offering you full flexibility to plan your next big adventure:
Secure your spot with an initial deposit of only 200 euros upon completing your registration form.
Enjoy the freedom to pay for your trip in customized installments that best suit your personal needs.
Conveniently settle the remaining balance up to 40 days before the official start of the adventure.

One of the greatest features of Madrid Pride is its open, inclusive, and completely accessible nature. Unlike other global capitals, here the major celebrations, concerts, and cultural performances are entirely free and take place outdoors, completely transforming the pulse of the city. During the main days of the festival, downtown Madrid becomes a massive open-air stage where music, diversity, and mutual respect flood every corner.
The festivities are vibrantly structured across the different and emblematic squares of the historic city center. Iconic spaces such as Plaza de Chueca, Plaza de Pedro Zerolo, Plaza del Rey (Plaza de las Reinas), Plaza de España, and the stunning stage at Puerta del Sol host world-class artistic lineups. Renowned international stars and major music icons like Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys, Paulina Rubio, Marta Sánchez, Chanel, Dana International, or Conchita Wurst have performed on these stages in previous editions, cementing MADO's musical offer as a global benchmark.
To experience all this energy with the ultimate level of exclusivity and comfort, Apolo gives you the unique opportunity to get a VIP pass for premium viewing areas located directly inside the main stages. Leave the crowds behind and enjoy privileged visibility, exclusive bars, and premium services right next to your favorite artists. This special pass is fully customizable and can be easily included as an add-on within your Apolo travel package, upgrading your Pride experience to a truly unforgettable dimension.
At Apolo, the presence and expenses of your coordinator are entirely on us. Forget about unexpected fees: you will never be asked to contribute to a common fund for extra costs or our team’s expenses.

I enjoy slow travel and places that reveal themselves bit by bit. I focus on the small details that make a place stay with you long after you've returned home.

I have always believed that you can travel in many ways, but I prefer to travel to disconnect, discover, and learn. We must never forget that when traveling we are guests and must always show respect.
I will guide you through the best corners of Madrid during our Pride.

"So much fun, well organized and we managed to see a lot of things. It was a very productive trip."

"To be honest, the experience felt just like being at home. 🥰🥰"

"The trip couldn't have been more productive, everything was perfectly organized and there was no shortage of laughter!"
Upon arrival, a vehicle will pick you up to transfer you to the Akeah Gran Vía hotel.
Ten days before the trip, the coordinator will add you to the trip's WhatsApp group so you can share your questions and meet your adventure companions.
On Sunday, you can return at whatever time you prefer; you can take the airport transfer at the scheduled time or stay an extra day to enjoy the Pride closing ceremony, though this has an additional cost and you must consult us for availability.
No, the entire trip will be held in the city of Madrid and most of the journeys will be made on foot. If other transportation is necessary, Apolo will provide it.
If you are a citizen of the European Union, Switzerland, Norway, or Iceland, you can enter with your national ID document or passport. If you are not but are an EU resident, your passport with a Schengen visa will suffice. If you are American, you do not need a visa to enter Spain; your passport is enough.
The time zone in Madrid during our adventure is UTC+2 (CEST).
The currency used in Spain is the Euro.
In Madrid, you can pay with a credit or debit card in practically any establishment, but we always recommend carrying some cash. Remember that with Apolo you have everything included once you arrive at the destination, except for the extras you want to do or the souvenirs you want to buy. So if you don't want to, you won't have to spend a single extra euro.
Tipping in Madrid works like in many Mediterranean countries: it is voluntary, but it is usually left as a gesture of gratitude when the service has been good. Not doing so is not a lack of respect, but it is common to round up or leave a small extra. In restaurants, it is usually 5-10% unless the service is already included as an extra charge.
Internet in Madrid is, in general, excellent and very accessible, especially in 2026. 5G coverage has expanded massively and it is common to find a good signal. If you travel from the European Union you do not need an extra SIM card. Thanks to the roaming agreements of the European Union, you can use the data and calls of your local rate in Madrid at no additional cost. Just make sure you have "Roaming" activated in your mobile settings. If you are traveling from outside the European Union, you will need a SIM card or an eSIM.
The official and predominant language is Spanish. English is spoken in most accommodations and tourist establishments, and many locals also speak English. In addition, people are usually open and hospitable, making an effort to help you out.
In Madrid, type F (grounded) and type C (flat) plugs are used, both with two round pins, operating at a voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50Hz. Unlike the United States, where flat type A and B pins are used at a lower voltage of 120V, US devices will require a physical adapter to fit into the Spanish outlet; in addition, it is essential to verify that the device is compatible with the European voltage, as connecting 120V equipment directly to a 230V network without a transformer could permanently damage it.
Clothing: Light T-shirts, Shorts, Swimwear, Underwear, Pride clothing, and all the accessories you want to use during the Rainbow week.
Footwear: Sandals, Comfortable walking shoes, Flip-flops for the pool.
Accessories and technology (recommended): Sunglasses, Cap or hat, Camera, Portable charger.
Toiletries and medication: Sunscreen, First aid kit (ibuprofen, paracetamol), Personal hygiene products.
In the first week of July, the weather in Madrid is fully summery, characterized by being very hot, dry, and extremely sunny. Maximum temperatures usually range between 32°C and 35°C, although it is the month where the first intense heat waves of the year begin to be common; night minimums are pleasant but warm, at around 18°C or 19°C. Rain is almost non-existent and humidity is very low, which accentuates the feeling of aridity, making the middle of the day an ideal time to take refuge in museums or air-conditioned places.
No, it is the only thing along with the local tourist tax that this adventure does not include. We like you to have autonomy to decide your schedules and the city you travel from.

In addition, they will be there to resolve your questions or help you whenever you need it. They will also be taking photos and videos so that you have memories of the adventure without having to be on your mobile phone or checking map directions the whole trip, allowing you to enjoy the experience much better.
Our ambassadors are people who provide extra value to the adventure. Our company is dynamic, fun, and health-focused. Therefore, we want you to share the trip with people who represent precisely that essence.
You can cancel your reservation up to 30 days before the start of the trip and recover your deposit. But if you cancel in the 30 days prior to the start, you will not be able to recover it.
